    Harmonic are delighted to partner with a fast growth Tech business looking to hire a Tax Manager. The role is responsible for the complete income tax life cycle of their EMEA region including, but not limited to, forecasting the effective tax rate, preparing/reviewing of the tax provision and income tax returns, tax research and planning, audit defense and M&A.

    This role will be based in the UK although the position will offer remote opportunities, potentially up to 2/4 days a week. The role plays a key part in the day-to-day business with a focus on UK taxes and EMEA region (direct and indirect) tax compliance and reporting requirements.

    Job Responsibilities:

    * Manages all aspects of corporate income tax and indirect tax compliance for certain companies and permanent establishments domiciled in EMEA. This includes reviewing tax returns and income tax provisions, researching local country tax matters and planning opportunities, coordinating responses to tax audits, and ensuring the timely payment of tax payments.
    * Prepares quarterly and annual income tax provisions in US GAAP and local GAAP/IFRS and reviews provisions. This includes working with EMEA, APAC, and US based financial reporting teams on financial statement matters related to taxes.
    * Prepares income tax returns by gathering and analyzing financial accounting information, computing book to tax differences and adjustments, preparing local taxable income calculations, and working with an outside accounting firm for tax return preparation, and then reviewing their work product.
    * Prepares monthly/quarterly VAT/GST returns for EMEA jurisdictions.
    * Monitors changes in local country tax laws, tax rates, etc. that may impact EMEA companies.
    * Participates in the preparation of transfer pricing local files and other reporting needs for EMEA companies.
    * Effectively partners with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives, drive process improvements and implement best practices.
    * Familiarity with US GAAP and IFRS accounting and concepts
    * Strong corporate income tax accounting experience
    * Review the tax disclosures in the statutory accounts
    * Prepare and review quarterly installment payment calculations that impact EMEA companies
    * Manage HMRC inquiries and assist in negotiations
    * Other duties as assigned by Director - Tax

    Qualification Requirements:

    * Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field
    * Ability to foster an environment of trust and inclusion, and to maintain good relationships throughout the organization
    * Strong corporate income tax accounting experience
    * Experience and knowledge of all areas of Corporate Income tax within the UK, and ideally other countries within Europe
    * Experience with mergers and acquisition desired
    * Strong Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office Suite Tools
    * Takes initiative, resourceful, and collaborative
    * Strong tax research and analytical skills
    * Ability to work independently and with in-house tax teams, government entities and external advisors to reach tax goals and complete time sensitive projects with internal and external deadlines


    The business would prefer to pitch the role between £75,000 - £90,000 but they would be open to seeing candidates up to £100,000
