    The Company

    Harmonic are proud to be working with one of the world's leading automotive manufacturers on the appointment of a Senior Finance Analyst to perform high level commercial analysis around operations at their Sheffield site. You will be the right-hand man/woman to the Plant Director, assisting them by analysing the numbers to support strategic decision making.

    The group turnover is circa £1bn and you will be working with the main entity, business partnering across multiple BUs and locations. The leadership team is extremely impressive and there will be great exposure to senior stakeholders internally and externally through numerous high-level projects.

    This is a great opportunity to be part of a restructure that gives incredible progression opportunities to the right candidate and could see (within 9-12 months) a promotion that would render you financially responsible for multiple sites.

    The Role

    The Senior Finance Analyst will oversee all aspects of financial management and reporting at the Sheffield site and will work closely with the Plant Director to drive improved commercial analysis and strategic decision making across the business. There will also be great exposure to the wider business through lots of business partnering which makes up a key part of this role.

You will lead the financial analysis of growth plans for the site and be producing monthly reports on the company's newly approved business plan as well as holding budget owners responsible for their spend and effective use of resources.


    * Work with key stakeholders to analyse and review costs vs. budget.
    * Support the development and implementation of existing financial systems.
    * Month-end accounting and reporting.
    * Proactively identify, record, and communicate financial risks and opportunities to the Plant Director.
    * Support the commercial team with supplier analysis.
    * Regular budgeting & forecasting.
    * Prepare quarterly submissions for grant funding.

    What we need to see (essential):

    * ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with at least 1 year of post qualification experience.
    * Experience working in a manufacturing/logistics business unit or project accounting role.
    * Strong MS Excel (Pivot tables, formulas etc.)
    * Strong general MS Office and presentation skills.
    * Clear and effective communicator.

    What we would like to see (bonus)

    * SAP experience preferred.
    * Leadership or line management experience.
    * Experience with power BI or other power apps.

    Salary: £35,000 - 45,000 + bonus + benefits
