    The Client:



    Harmonic are proud to be exclusively working with one of London's fastest growing start-ups. As a company they are well on track to grow by 1000% in 2021. They have big plans for their expansion with further rollout of their service across London, and in the latter half of the year, the wider UK following a Series A fundraise.



    They have developed a genuinely disruptive Tech platform. Using an innovative software and SaaS element to provide significant efficiency gains to customers and suppliers in the delivery and logistics space they are set to capitalise on a nearly £50 billion market without any similar competitors at this stage.



    2021 will see continued expansion in their core market before launching two new 'service lines' to further accelerate growth.

    The Role:



    The Management Accountant will work alongside the part time CFO and CEO to build and insource the Finance function initially managing and automating the day-to-day Finance elements. Given the rate of growth there is fast track progression to Finance Manager as you start to build out month-end, Management Accounting, and the development of increasingly commercial finance support.

    * Ownership and automation of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (invoicing) piece
    * Oversee (with the support of the CFO) the build out and development of month-end and production of management accounts.
    * Manage company bank reconciliations, payroll and balance sheet reconciliations.
    * Support outsourced Accounting team with the completion of VAT returns and Year-End Audit preparation
    * Support with extensive process improvement and system implementation of Xero
    * Extensive ad-hoc projects to support the commercial expansion of the business.
    * Start to develop cost metrics, cash flow forecasting, KPI analysis and P&L commentary







    Required Experience:

    * Excited by fast paced environments and start-ups
    * Prior ownership of day-to-day finance (invoicing)
    * Exposure to month end and management accounting
    * Excellent Communication Skills
    * Real desire to build and automate processes.



    Preferred Backgrounds/ experience:

    * Prior experience within an SME or Start-Up.
    * Part Qualified (ACCA or CIMA)
    * Experience using Xero
    * Ambitions to progress quickly to Finance Manager



    Offered Package:

    * £35,000 - £37,000
