    Harmonic are working on behalf of a fast-growing FTSE Listed Bank who have invested heavily in restructuring and improving their Finance function over the last two years. This has included the build out and hiring of a world class Group Finance function which has attracted some of the Financial Services industries best talent.

    The Role:

    The Group Finance Director is a Maternity Cover contract and reports directly to the CFO and is responsible for the production of timely and accurate statutory financial reporting, tax and regulatory reporting leading teams across Financial Control, Regulatory Reporting, External Reporting and Accounting Policy and Group Tax.

    With a continuous theme of improvement this role will be underpinned by a drive to improve and streamline processes. There is excellent exposure across the business to divisional and business unit Finance Director's and this role will involve extensive relationship building with internal peers and external stakeholders (Chair of the Audit Committee, Auditors etc)


    · Deliver the Group and Bank's Half Year and Year End Statutory Reports (IFRS) with the support of the External Reporting team

    · Oversight of the Group's Accounting Policy position (IFRS) providing technical and strategic support for Bank initiatives including M&A

    · Ensure the delivery and maintenance of a robust financial control framework across the Group and Bank (chairing monthly committee meetings with other Bank wide Finance Directors)

    · Responsible for the understanding of Regulatory Reporting requirements and ensuring the Regulatory Reporting team delivers the necessary Regulatory reports across the group's capital and liquidity positions in line with PRA and Bank of England

    · Preparation and presentation for the Board Risk Committee and attend multiple meetings at an Exec level with both internal and external stakeholders

    · Oversee and maintain Consolidated Group accounts

    · Oversee the delivery of an Internal Ratings Based (IRB) capital approach

    · Own the Group's Finance system (SAP) delivering improvements where necessary

    · Manage the production of Group Tax Reporting with the support of Group Tax team

    · Partner with multiple business leaders to develop and maintain a high performing, forward looking Finance function

    · Lead, mentor and develop talent in the Finance function

    · Build excellent relationships with Group FP&A teams and other Finance Directors in the Bank

    · Provide ad-hoc support across multiple internal Projects

    What we need to see:

    · ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified

    · Demonstrable experience leading a high performing Finance function

    · Significant experience leading teams across Financial Control and Regulatory Reporting

    · Excellent communication skills

    · Experience working with Board Level stakeholders

    Additional Skills (bonus)

    · Ability to lead and inspire

    · Excellent relationship building skills and ability to influence

    · Financial Services Experience (Banking, Asset Management)

    · SAP experience

    Salary: £175,000 - £200,000 + Completion Bonus (up to 50%) + Pension

    Start date: ASAP (ideally able to start in September)
