    We are delighted to be working exclusively with an innovative, hyper growth Electric Vehicle (EV) scale-up business looking to revolutionise the way in which freight is transported by implementing their innovative battery powered platform on an international scale.



    This is an opportunity to work for an incredibly well funded business with impressive founders that foster a hugely entrepreneurial environment. The growth plans are extremely impressive, and the business expects to be bringing in a significant amount of funding over the next few years.



    They are now looking to hire an interim CFO to support the fundraising process and their continued expansion. The company offers a fast-paced environment, full of motivated and passionate people - if you are an over-achieving, entrepreneurial CFO with substantial fundraising experience this is for you.



    The Role

    Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for all things finance - managing the team, partnering with the board, setting policies, managing day to day execution, and being an integral part of driving strategy.



    You will take ownership of the fundraising process, working closely with the relevant stakeholders, including bankers & investors on fundraising and investor relations activities.



    The appointed CFO will develop strategic & financial objectives, both nationally and internationally and ensure risk and compliance processes are in place. Experience of publicly listed companies and fundraising is highly desirable, particularly in Northern America or Sweden.



    The most important criteria are a CFO with relevant functional experience and a flexible, dynamic approach. This is a full-time role, with some travel across the globe.



    Responsibilities:

    * Oversee all aspects of the Finance function, take a lead in broader functional areas.
    * Be a key driver in the successful delivery of all fundraising activity.
    * Partner with our board, CEO, senior management team and investors on both financial and business issues.
    * Setting up robust forecasting and planning models to support business strategy and fundraising.
    * Ensure that the accounting systems are robust and effective with processes and systems for monthly management reporting.
    * Drive budgeting process for the business, in collaboration with the senior management team.
    * Establish a solid financial foundation and forecast using appropriate systems that will allow the business to scale effectively globally.
    * Support compliance, legal and IT on planning for international expansion.
    * Supporting the management of contracts with corporate partners and government agencies.



    Required Experience:

    * Degree level education, qualified accountant (UK: ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
    * At least 6+ years of senior strategic finance professional experience.
    * Previous involvement in a fundraise (minimum $20M USD) and / or exposure working with VC's or Private Equity investors is essential.
    * Strong people management skills with the ability to be a leader and a 'doer'.
    * Commercial and strategic mind-set coupled with the ability to clearly communicate.
    * Ability to see the 'big picture' and be forward thinking in relation to growth, budgets, capital allocation, and future fundraises.
    * Proven ability to develop and implement systems, told, and processes to increase business clarity.
    * Must be commercially savvy, entrepreneurial, highly intellectual, proactive, and have strong listening skills.
    * Experience at director level of preparation of multinational statutory / management accounts, preparation of budgets and VAT return, and experience of managing an internal audit function.
    * Experience of Swedish company governance and business regulations highly attractive is a plus.



    Bonus Experience:

    * Previously worked in Automotive or related industry.
    * Experience of taking a company public is highly attractive.



    Salary:

    * £800 - 1500/day
