    We are delighted to be working with one of the UK's most exciting up and coming consultancies focused on giving analytical and advisory support to businesses operating in the energy sector. After having recently raised nearly £10m through private equity investors, the company are looking for an exceptional Head of Finance to take the company through their next phase of growth.



    They are currently targeting new growth in international markets including Europe, Australia, US and Asia and planning to grow their headcount significantly in the coming months. There is an extremely impressive leadership team made up of incredibly clever and overachieving individuals and managing these senior stakeholder relationships will be key to success in this role.



    The company has offices in Oxford and abroad and although there is going to be flexibility moving forward, the company's office environment is central to their culture and they plan to retain that as much as possible so there is likely to be an expectation to be in the office 3-4 days/week.



    The role



    The Head of Finance will be responsible for the end-to-end finance function covering both operational finance and FP&A - although there will be managerial responsibilities for a small finance team the Head of Finance will need to be hands-on in their approach. You will be a close strategic partner to the senior leadership team, helping to support strategic decision making with robust financial data.

    Responsibilities



    * Regular financial and investor reporting.
    * Owning the budgeting and forecasting processes including cashflow management.
    * Keeping the company in line with new tax regulations as it expands into new territories.
    * Running R&D Tax claims for the business.
    * Building and developing existing financial processes and controls.
    * Running an ERP implementation to overhaul the current excel processes.
    * Manage and train teams in both operations finance and FP&A.
    * Working with senior stakeholders on financial strategy.



    What we need to see (Essential)



    * ACA/ACCA Qualified, ideally with an Audit background and 5-10 years PQE.
    * Ability to think strategically and formulate financial.
    * Ability to be hands-on in your approach.
    * Excellent written/verbal communication skills, at Board level, with high attention to detail.
    * Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management.
    * Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge.



    What we would like to see (Non-Essential)



    * Financial systems implementation skills.
    * Proven team leader with a track record of delivering high quality financial reporting to Board and senior management.
    * Wider operational exposure as is often the case in start-ups.



    Location



    * Oxford - (remote initially but 3-4 days/week in the office moving forward so being in commutable distance to Oxford is necessary)



    Salary



    * £90,000 + 15% bonus + benefits
