    Harmonic are proud to be working with a PE backed hospitality group to source a Group Finance Controller to report directly in the Finance Director.

    The business has been well maintained during Covid and despite the events of the last year are gearing up for a busy Summer ahead with lockdown restrictions easing. With this our client are looking to onboard a new and dynamic Group Finance Controller who is confident with operational accounting in the hospitality space and who in the short term can come in to improve controls, refine finance models and improve systems whilst our client goes through a transformation.

    In terms of size the business turnover is c£80m and they have a brilliant portfolio and working culture which leads collectively to the overall successful and quality feel of their offerings. Based remotely now, you will business partner with General Managers and lead the finance team reporting to the Finance Director on a dotted line. Working from home you will competently lead the team back on a phased return when safe to do so.



    The Duties:

    * Responsible for the group financial accounting, reporting and consolidations
    * Responsible for managing group consolidation, monthly board pack and year end board pack report
    * Balance sheet consolidation and P&L consolidation at UK level
    * Business partnering with GMs on budgets and finance models related to P&L
    * Liaising with the external auditors to ensure the audit process is strictly adhered to the agreed timetable. Responsibilities for improvements for any areas affected under supervision and improvements in controls to avoid this in future
    * Consolidating Balance Sheets and P&L for multiple properties under IFRS 16



    What the client expects to see:

    * ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
    * Good communications skills
    * Experience in hospitality/real estate
    * Working knowledge of UK GAAP, Companies Act, Compliance and Governance

    What we expect to see:

    * Knowledge of IFRS 15/16
    * Sage experience
    * Expert level Excel skills
    * Ability to work well under pressure and deliver results efficiently



    Salary £75-85k
