    Harmonic are privileged to be parting with a Private Equity backed business in Surrey who have been growing rapidly over the past 12 months to place a Financial Accountant.

    Reporting into the Finance controller and part of a dynamic team of 15 you will be a key player in the smooth running of the finance function and completing the financial accounts. The company is very dynamic and has won several key controls over the last 12 months which have seen them grow and scale and they have a brilliant platform for growth over the next 12 months with contracts which they are tendering for.

    With the company growing so rapidly its definitely worth highlighting that this has not affected their culture, whilst being fast paced our client has retained a family feel to the company and a culture that one might expect in a start-up business. The team enjoy their work whilst also being incredibly committed to seeing the business they care about grow.

    Currently the team are working remotely until June, however, will look to begin a phased return to their offices which are easily accessible by car or train. This does depend on it being safe to do so and the decision has been taken as they value their office space and believe that for finance and for progression its key to work and learn together.

    The Role

    * Preparation of month end financial reports providing commentary on performance covering P&L and Balance Sheet
    * Assisting the Finance Manager with year-end reporting
    * Prepare budgets for the clients including working on some finance models and finance planning for future projects
    * Preparation of Sales invoices and commentary to support
    * Working with operations on any budget discrepancies and forecasts
    * Responsible for overhead costing for central finance
    * Extensive process improvement and process automation work
    * Business Partner with Finance & Non-Finance stakeholders
    * Management of VAT Reporting

    What our client would like to see:

    * ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification started
    * 2 years of experience in a Financial Accountant or similar position
    * Sage 200 experience or similar accounting package with good understanding of systems
    * Clear and confident communicator

    What we would like to see:

    * Zero Balance Accounts / ZBA account experience
    * Experience in working with a business who process cash transactions as well as debit/credit card payments
    * Great written communication skills and finance commentary
    * Experience in FMCG / Consumer Goods / Service / Hospitality industries preferred

    Salary - £35,000 - £40,000
