    We are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with an incredibly fast growing fintech/payments business on the appointment of their Financial Accountant. Pre-COVID the company had experienced 300% year on year growth for the past 3 years and due to substantial investment from their investors, they are looking to grow rapidly and expand into international markets later this year.





    The company is expecting significant increases in revenue towards the back end of this year with international expansion into the US and Europe that will give rise to numerous high-level projects. The leadership team is extremely impressive, headed up by an entrepreneurial CEO who has built an incredibly collaborative and friendly culture from the ground up.





    The Role





    You will work closely with the Finance Manager and Head of Finance to bring together the month end close process and to help improve financial reporting and the quality of financial information across the group.





    If you have experience in consumer lending, challenger bank or an FCA regulated fintech, this is for you. This can be either in Audit or with some industry experience.





    Duties





    * Preparation of daily bank reconciliations for all entities in the group.
    * Maintaining loan funding & restricted cash account balances and submitting payments for approval.
    * Full responsibility for the month end close process for the Group entities.
    * Full responsibility for transactional finance and the posting of Accounting entries in Xero.
    * Responsible for preparing and reconciling prepayments & accrual schedules.
    * Assisting with tax/VAT returns.
    * Assisting in the preparing the Group year end accounts.
    * Maintaining payroll, PAYE and pension records and submissions to private pension schemes.
    * Assist in statutory audits, internal audit and compliance reporting including utility requests
    * Responsible for maintaining suppliers' records, POC for travel merchants as well as AP responsibilities.
    * Ad-hoc reporting requirements from the Head of Finance and Board.





    What we need to see (essential)





    * Newly Qualified ACCA or ACA accountant.
    * Experience working in a consumer lending / FCA regulated company.
    * Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
    * Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and ability to learn quickly.





    What we would like to see (bonus)





    * Trained at a top tier accountancy firm (consumer finance clients preferable).
    * Experience working for a rapidly scaling business - preferably fintech.
    * Working knowledge of US GAAP.
    * Multi-currency experience.
    * International Accounting experience, ideally US and Europe.





    Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + 10% bonus
