    The Client

    We are proud to be working with one of the fastest growing scale-up businesses in the EV sector. Our client has recently won contracts with some of the most established OEMs in the automotive industry allowing them to fast track their European expansion.



    They are looking to build on their success so far this year and having recently secured a substantial Series C fundraise the company is looking to appoint a new strategic CFO to take the business through its next phase of growth. This position will be instrumental in building out the Finance function and driving growth in the business both strategically and commercially.



    Based in sleek, inner-city workspace, the company boasts a non-corporate, relaxed culture. They are currently working from home and running the process remotely with remote on-boarding however, will be aiming to return in a split working capacity in line with Government guidelines.



    The Role

    Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for all things finance - managing the team, partnering with the board, setting policies, managing day to day execution, and being an integral part of driving strategy.



    You will take ownership of the fundraising process, working closely with the relevant stakeholders, on fundraising and investor relations activities. You will need to fully understand the fundraising process and have participated in/led multiple fundraises.



    The most important criteria are a CFO with relevant functional experience and a flexible, dynamic approach. This will be an incredibly role for the right candidate with international travel and a mid-term exit on the cards.



    * Full responsibility for the management of the finance function
    * Management of FP&A, MI, financial systems, cash management and financial reporting
    * Provision of detailed analysis to internal stakeholders and the VC board.
    * Implementing best practice and developing a talented team.
    * Production of effective KPI reporting metrics and financial models.
    * Be part of the senior management team to help drive commercial strategy and operations internationally.
    * Be responsible for all statutory accounts and legal financial obligations.
    * Business partner with key budget holders.
    * Help the business plan out future long-term and the viability of trade sale or flotation.



    What we need to see (essential):

    * ACA/ACCA/CIMA and degree qualified.
    * Experience in scaling a business quickly.
    * Excellent communication and organisational skills.
    * Strong leadership skills and commercially astute.
    * Fundraising experience (ideally £5m+).
    * Keen to work in a fast-paced start-up.



    What we'd like to see (bonus):

    * Previously worked in Automotive or Technology industry attractive.
    * Experience of working in a regulated company is extremely beneficial.
    * Experience of taking a company public is highly attractive.
    * Exposure working with VC's or Private Equity investors.



    Salary: £110,000 - £140,000 + bonus + share options
