Backed by some of the top-tier climate VCs fresh off an oversubscribed Series B funding round, we are seeking a VP of Finance to lead on fundraising and spearhead the development of processes and procedures to support the scaling business.
The Role
As the VP of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial strategy and leading the finance team. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping financial forecasting, budgeting processes, and partnering with various internal stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
In this dynamic start-up environment, you will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on financial modeling and process development. Additionally, the position offers significant exposure and the opportunity to build relationships with the CEO and Board of Directors. This position is ideal for someone passionate about process enhancement, attention to detail, and strategic leadership, offering significant exposure and influence.
With the company's rapid growth trajectory, there is ample room for advancement into a CFO title as the finance function expands.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain accurate financial statements
- Lead the implementation of the company's inaugural ERP system
- Prepare for, and manage the annual audit process
- Lead on FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, and investor relations
- Develop and implement internal controls and risk management strategies
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with commercial and engineering teams as projects develop to troubleshoot and build scalable processes
- Implement scalable tracking processes around manufacturing and inventory management
What You Need:
- 10+ years of finance and accounting experience
- Experience working in a hardware manufacturing business
- Experience implementing an ERP system
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of staff and with external stakeholders
What We'd Like to See:
- Experience in renewable energy
- Startup Experience
- Understanding of or experience in project accounting
- Investment banking or Big 4 Accounting Experience
Package: $250,000 - $275,000 + Bonus + Equity
