The Role
We are seeking a VP of Finance to oversee our partner organization's core and strategic financial operations. This pivotal position involves managing critical financial data, providing insightful analysis, and delivering actionable recommendations to executive leadership. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting data-driven initiatives across various business units, ensuring sustained financial health and facilitating strategic expansion. This is a full-time, exempt position primarily based at our partner's central facility, with occasional travel to other operational sites as required.
Responsibilities
- Direct all aspects of financial statement preparation, month-end close processes, and sub-ledger reporting.
- Generate data-driven financial insights and analytics, presenting findings to the CEO to inform key business decisions.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on cash flow planning, forecasting, and budgeting as necessary.
- Work closely with operational teams (e.g., production, logistics, sales) to ensure accurate reporting for all transactional activities.
- Manage relationships with external partners including banking, legal, and tax advisors, ensuring timely delivery of required information and compliance.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the finance function.
What We Need to See (Essential)
- Proven track record in a senior finance leadership role within a complex organizational structure.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver data-driven financial analysis and strategic recommendations to executive-level stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex business data into actionable insights.
- Experience building automated financial reporting and control systems.
- Prior experience managing and developing a finance team.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
What We'd Like to See (Bonus)
- Experience in multi-entity retail, hospitality, F&B, CPG, restaurants, or a related field.
- Certification in finance or accounting (e.g., CPA, MBA).
- Background in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Location: Greater Boston
Package: $170,000 - $210,000 + bonus
