Supply Chain Manager | Fast-growth Beverage scaleup | London

Harmonic Finance are proud to be working on an exclusive basis with one of the UK's fastest-growing beverage businesses.

Having raised a substantial first investment round, they are now heavily investing in the operations and supply chain team with this being the first key, strategic hire.

The organisation controls their entire supply chain from end-to-end including raw materials, production, shipping, and distribution through an innovative system and are looking for an ambitious Supply Chain Manager to partner with the founders on its further development.

Career Prospects?

With this being a strategic level role, the founders of the business are keen to progress this position in time to a Head of Supply Chain (or Operations) with no plans to hire above this role. On their current trajectory this could be something achieved within 18-24 months.

The Role

The position is a strategically focused, covering overall management of the supply chain and general operations function (budgets, NPD, demand planning etc) and so will suit candidates with a passion for scale-up businesses . But who also wish to be involved heavily in the commercial direction of the organisation. Your role will involve (but not be restricted to);

  • Partnering with the founder to build out the operational strategy of the business and actively look to improve processes and systems
  • Management of the current end-to-end supply chain from sourcing of raw materials through to production and finally to distribution of goods
  • Working alongside suppliers in building out robust relationships and partnerships ensuring that the business is working towards the best commercial success
  • Working to identify key areas for improvements and management of the KPIs
  • Management of 3PL
  • Partnering with finance on management of budgets and supporting with insight to help drive commercial performance
  • Working on the planning of NPD - the founder has some exciting new skews that they want to explore as they grow so this position would work to deliver on these

What our client would like to see:

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to work with a start-up / SME
  • Broad skillset in being able to manage the end-to-end supply chain
  • Confident communication style
  • Experience in working with grocery retails (Tesco / Asda / Sainsburys / Morrisons etc)

What we would like to see (not essential):

  • International or global supply chain experience
  • prior experience with alcoholic or non-alcoholic brands in the beer, spirits, wine or just general drinks space would be beneficial

Salary: 40-50k + Benefits

Working arrangements: 3 days in the office and 2 from home
