Interim Senior Financial Accountant | High-Growth Luxury Retail Brand | London/Hybrid
Harmonic are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a globally recognised consumer brand in their search for an Interim Senior Financial Accountant on a 6 month contract, with high likelihood to extend.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this is a key technical role within the finance team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across multiple business models. You will lead month-end processes, manage complex accounting areas, and support the implementation of new systems and controls. The role offers a blend of hands-on technical work and strategic input, partnering closely with teams across operations, FP&A, and global tax.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end close process, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations to deliver timely and accurate reporting.
- Act as the technical accounting expert, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and company policies.
- Oversee inventory accounting, ensuring correct valuation, reconciliation, and reporting across wholesale and e-commerce.
- Monitor daily cash flow and maintain strong relationships with banking partners.
- Prepare monthly and year-end financial reporting, supporting external audits with schedules and working papers.
- Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, including VAT returns.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and internal controls across the finance function.
- Support ERP implementation and integration with financial reporting workflows.
- Collaborate with FP&A and operational teams to deliver insights and improve reporting accuracy.
- Ad-hoc tasks to support the Financial Controller
What We Need To See (Essential):
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in wholesale, e-commerce, or similar sectors.
- Proven ability to improve processes and implement best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across teams.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
- Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-changing environment.
Location: London/Hybrid
Start Date: ASAP
Day Rate: £400-450 (Inside IR35)
Location: London/Hybrid (3 days in the office)
