About the Role:
The Senior Director of FP&A will play a pivotal role as the right-hand person to the new CFO, contributing to both the strategic and traditional financial functions of the organization. In this Boston-based position, you'll lead all financial planning and forecasting activities while partnering closely with the CFO and senior leadership to influence key financial strategies. This role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, reporting to the board, and creating a strategic value proposition. You'll be responsible for resource allocation analysis to drive profitability and ensure financial sustainability across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire financial planning and forecasting function, aligning closely with senior leadership and reporting directly to the CFO to support high-level business decisions.
- Drive strategic initiatives by developing and managing the company's budgeting process and board reporting, focusing on maximizing resource allocation to achieve optimal revenue growth.
- Establish best practices in financial analysis and planning, implementing efficient processes and tools that enhance data-driven decision-making across all business units.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to department heads, collaborating with them to address key business challenges through financial insights and strategic solutions.
- Lead the development of meaningful company KPIs and analytical frameworks to measure success and highlight opportunities for growth.
- Build profitability models for various brands, customer segments, and products, collaborating with commercial and operational teams to improve financial outcomes.
- Evaluate the impact of commercial spend, identifying areas for cost-effectiveness and recommending improvements.
- Lead a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
What we need to see (Essential):
- At least 8 years in progressive FP&A roles, with a minimum of 5 years in a consumer goods company, ideally within FMCG.
- Proven expertise in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and board-level reporting, with a strategic mindset that contributes to big-picture planning.
- Strong ability to assess and interpret consumer behavior data, using insights to inform financial strategies and operational decisions.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring finance teams, building strong collaborative relationships across departments.
- Exceptional presentation and communication abilities, able to convey complex financial information to senior leadership and stakeholders effectively.

Location: Boston, MA
Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 + bonus + equity
