This is a company transforming how customers interact with their energy usage through their cutting-edge software which offeeal-time monitoring and optimization of energy assets like solar/batteries, EVs, and HVAC systems.
We're seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to build and manage the core accounting systems, oversee daily accounting operations, and drive financial accuracy. With a mission to run the grid on 100% clean energy, this is an exciting opportunity to join a team at the forefront of the renewable energy revolution.
Responsibilities
- Lead on day-to-day accounting activities and ensure timely & accurate recording of financial transactions
- Leverage accounting tools and financial reporting software to create and maintain reports
- Execute and refine month-end close processes, including revenue recognition, cost accruals, and reconciliations
- Provide timely financial reporting and assist with unaudited and audited financial statements
- Ensure GAAP standards and compliance across all accounting activities
- Proactively communicate potential accounting/reporting issues to the team
- Collaborate on ad-hoc requests from leadership and other departments
What You Need:
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- Retail Energy Markets experience
- Excellent communication skills, highly organized, and detail-oriented
- Proficient in QuickBooks, accounting systems, and Microsoft Excel
