Regulatory Reporting Manager (12 Month FTC) | Elite Fintech Scale-Up (IPO Ready) | London

We are delighted to be working with one of the most notorious Fintech success stories the UK has seen. Having disrupted the lending space, the tech-driven online bank has raised more than £500m in VC funding from a some of the world's most reputable firms and is now edging closer to an IPO.

Through their offering of personal loans, credit cards, savings accounts and car financing, they've now lent more than £9 billion and have now been profitable for over 12 months. They've begun some interesting M&A activity, recently acquiring one of the UK's top BNPL start-ups to continue their growth and confirm itself as one of the top leaders in this space.

They are based in a fantastic, riverside office space in Central London with the wider business being led by some of the most respected industry leaders with a track-record of unlocking scale-up's growth potential, all brought together by their passion for scaling the business further and have a diverse team with a great culture including an impressive approach to working from home.

The role

  • Development and maintenance of robust regulatory reporting
  • Review all (and prepare some as necessary) regulatory returns (PRA, FCA & BOE) to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulatory rules
  • Develop and guide the team to ensure it is adequately prepared to meet changes to regulatory rules and to comply with new and emerging reporting and disclosure requirements
  • Ensure effective tools are in place for monitoring capital and liquidity, working closely with the Financial Reporting, Treasury & FP&A teams and second line to deliver appropriate MI
  • Implement and continually review systems
  • Continually assess the adequacy of internal processes, data and controls which support the production of regulatory returns and implement enhancements to increase efficiency and strengthen the control framework as required, including keeping standard operating procedures up to date
  • Assist reviews performed by second line and internal auditors and implement recommendations arising from those reviews
  • Prepare annual Pillar 3 disclosures
  • Implementing best practice and support the build out of a world class finance team
  • Business Partner with key stakeholders

What we need to see (essential):

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE
  • Strong regulatory experience covering COREP (capital and liquidity), FINREP and BoE (Bank of England) statistical returns
  • Experience within an FCA regulated environment
  • "Hands on" experience managing a team
  • Passionate about the start-up and scale-up space
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary: £110,000 - £130,000
