Harmonic are proud to be working exclusively with a VC-backed food and restaurant business looking for an ambitious and commercially astute Payroll Manager to join their accounting team.
To date this impressive business has raised nearly $100m in venture funding and now have over 25 sites across the East Coast and will be expanding to 35 in the next 6 months.

The Role
This role will be reporting into the Controller and will be an integral part of the finance function. This role will suit an ambitious individual with a keen eye for detail that wants to work in a fast-paced environment and gain exposure to excellent senior mentors.
Duties
- Manage the payroll process
- Monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
- Calculate monthly sales commission, making necessary adjustments when needed
- Ensure that the payroll is complete accurately and audited in line with company policy
- Liaise with the sales, legal and HR teams to answer any queries
- Support month-end close process for balances
- Manage expenses and reimbursement requests
- Ad hoc reporting projects to support the Controller
What you need
- Bachelors degree in finance or similar subject.
- 2+ years in accounting position
- Excellent communication skills Passion for working in a fast-paced environment
What we'd like to see
- Experience in food or FMCG
- CPA or working towards
Location: NYC or Boston with flexible working
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 + bonus + generous package
