Harmonic are delighted to be working on a retained basis with a rapidly scaling TV Production business based in Central London to recruit a Management Accountant.

The Business

Following a period of rapid expansion, this Independent TV Production business based in London have decided to create a new role for a Management Accountant. The company have doubled turnover in each of the last three years, and it now sits at around £15m for the group, with plans to double that again over the next 18 months. They are renowned for their non-corporate work environment as well as flexibility with work/life balance.

The team has been growing quickly, and you will be partnering closely with teams of up to 30 people. They have a fantastic track record in the industry, producing award winning Drama and Scripted productions, despite operating for a relatively short amount of time. This has led to some major investment in the company by institutional investors, highlighting the excellent progression opportunities on offer.

The Role:

As the Management Accountant, you will work closely with a talented Financial Controller to contribute to the finance function of a scaling business. This will include taking responsibility for producing the monthly management accounts as well as supporting cashflow forecasting, implementing system and process improvements, and managing intercompany accounts.

As the company continues to grow, there will be clear opportunities for future progression and valuable exposure to Financial Planning and Analysis. This is a great opportunity to get in at the ground-level of a high-growth TV Production business and have a significant impact.

Duties:

  • Producing the Management Accounts with insightful analysis
  • Managing the intercompany accounts
  • Assisting with cashflow forecasting across the business
  • Implementing new process improvements and efficiencies
  • Submitting VAT returns
  • Supporting with a low volume of invoice processing
  • Ad-Hoc projects with the Financial Controller

What we need to see (essential):

  • Part-Qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
  • Strong communication skills
  • A passion for the TV & Film industry

What we'd like to see (bonus):

  • Previous experience using Xero
  • Previous experience in the TV and Film or Media industries

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
