Management Accountant | Established Multisite Restaurant Group | North London

Harmonic are proud to be working on a retained basis with one of North London's most exclusive restaurant groups on the hire of a Management Accountant to join the team.

The group are well established after having traded for the past 10 years and have build out a portfolio of over 10 restaurants during this time. The group is made up of a mix of casual dining, finer dining as well as takeaway options catering for all types of consumer needs. They put the emphasis on well sourced, ethical, and fresh produce which has resonated well with customers and as well as offering multisite venues they are also well integrated into Deliveroo and Just Eat as additional revenue streams.

We are looking for a confident Management Accountant with experience of multi-entity group structures to work alongside the founder, who is a seasoned restaurant, to own the full accounts. There is currently support from a London based accounts practice as well as the support of two internal bookkeepers who are currently managing the transactional finance piece.

Our client is currently going through a Xero implementation so this will form one of the immediate tasks for the role and will be part of a restructure which will improve not only the systems but also the efficiency for our client.

This role is based in North London and is primarily office based. The team are incredibly friendly and collaborative and often share company funded lunches together as well as socials and events.

The Role

• Manage the management accounts process end-to-end monthly for the group.
• Reconcile, defer & recognize income & costs for projects/clients on a monthly basis
• Reconcile costs for projects/clients on a monthly basis
• Update & reconcile reports each month, raising or releasing accruals as necessary
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Partner with the founder and other key stakeholders to prepare forecasts and budgets.
• Maintain rolling forecasting models, seeking constant process and model improvements.
• Assist with system and process improvements.
• Assist with reviewing coding & posting AP processed invoices.
• Continually seeking ways to streamline & automate accounting processes.
• Undertake any other relevant duties or reasonable request as requested by the Finance Manager & any member of the senior management team.
• Prepare, Maintain and provide insights on client revenue analysis
• Assist in preparation of statutory accounts and year end files.

What our client would like to see:

• Passion for the hospitality space and general love for food
• Part qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA. We would also look at QBE if you have hospitality, retail or multisite experience
• Confident communicator
• Great positive attitude and a hands on approach to finance

What we would like to see:

• Experience with Xero would be beneficial
• Evidence of dealing with multi-entity accounting and leases would be beneficial

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
