Management Accountant | Rapid Growth Luxury Fashion Business | Central London

The client

Harmonic are currently working exclusively with a rapidly growing luxury fashion label in their search for a Management Accountant to join the team. Aided by high-profile fashion events and tradeshows, they supply major luxury department stores with their revolutionary designs. Significant domestic and international growth has led our client to impressive e-commerce expansion, building upon exponential growth experienced in recent years.

The role

As the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for playing a vital role within the finance team who have immediate online expansion as their main priority, providing an exciting challenge to the right candidate. Ultimately working with the CFO and other senior management to build upon the year-on-year growth in recent years, you will have significant exposure to key decision makers, who in turn provide support to allow you to implement your own processes and have a genuine impact on the business as it scales.

Core responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day transactional finance, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations
  • Process a high volume of daily invoices
  • Produce monthly management accounts with variance analysis
  • Management of month-end processes (accruals, prepayments, journal posting)
  • Complete VAT returns and payroll
  • Support the CFO in the delivery of group financial reporting and statutory accounts
  • Monitoring cash flow forecasts in order to aid the long-term goal of expansion
  • Continuously review company approaches to financial management and implement new processes
  • Work closely with the CFO on any ad-hoc projects within the wider finance function
  • Work with an outsourced Accountant during year-end to support the completion of statutory accounts
  • Multi-currency fund management

Essential qualities

  • Part qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
  • Experience producing Management Accounts
  • Experience using accounting software
  • Proven experience working within a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ambitious and passionate about being part of a scale-up
  • Champion of diversity and socio-political issues

Desirable qualities

  • Experience working within a stock or physical product business e.g e-commerce, fashion, retail or FMCG
  • Passionate about the creative industry

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + study support
