Management Accountant | Fast-Growth FMCG Brand | London / Hybrid

As Management Accountant, you will play a key role in strengthening the finance function as the business grows. You will support the Head of Finance across month-end, controls, reporting, and cash management, while taking ownership of AP/AR processing, reconciliations, VAT, and financial operations.
You'll partner with teams across operations, supply chain, sales and marketing, providing accurate financial information and helping implement improved processes and systems - including a new PO system and enhanced Xero reporting.
Key Responsibilities

Support month-end close including accruals, prepayments and journals

Manage and review AP and AR processing

Oversee bank reconciliations and ensure accurate ledgers

Perform balance sheet reconciliations

Maintain the fixed asset register

Prepare and submit VAT returns

Assist with production of management accounts and year-end reporting

Partner with sales, marketing and supply chain to provide financial insights

Support variance analysis and budget vs actuals reviews

Ensure accurate revenue, COGS and cost allocation

Support financial operations for multi-entity P&L activity

Maintain strong data quality in Xero

Support rollout of a new PO system

Help embed best practice processes within finance

Contribute to systems optimisation (Xero, Shopify, payment platforms)
Essential
-
2-3+ years' experience in finance roles within SME, FMCG, retail or fast-growth environments

Strong AP, AR and balance sheet reconciliation skills

Xero experience

Exposure to management accounts and month-end processes

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Comfortable working cross-functionally in a scaling business
Desirable

FMCG or manufacturing experience, including COGS

Shopify or similar platform experience

Experience with process improvement or systems implementation

Prior experience in a small finance team
Start date: 1 month maximum
Salary Range: £50,000 to £60,000 + strong benefits package / study support if required
Hybrid working: 3 days in Central London office / 2 days working from home
