Job description

Junior Finance Manager | Innovative Design Agency | 3-Month Contract | London

Harmonic is proud to be partnering with an industry-leading design agency in its search for an Interim Junior Finance Manager. The client is offering an initial 3-month contract with a strong opportunity for a permanent role following this.

Having just secured some exciting new projects, our client is looking for an ambitious Interim Finance Manager who can improve the efficiency of the accounts payable and receivable functions as well as assist with management accounts. Reporting to an experienced Financial Controller, this role would offer a fantastic opportunity to develop themselves in a truly market-leading business.

This position offers a hybrid working arrangement with 3 days per week in the office, and 2 days from home. This is a truly fantastic opportunity to work with one of the UK's most respected design agencies.

The Role

This role offers the opportunity to quickly add value to a young, dynamics Finance team. It would be your responsibility to manage Purchase and Sales Ledger functions, as well as accurately review and document internal controls. You would have one direct report - a Finance Assistant - who will process PO's and purchase invoices. A full review of responsibilities is as follows:

  • Manage and maintain the Purchase/Sales ledger.
  • Maintaining and complying with financial control policies across the business.
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate accounting.
  • Producing monthly Financial Analysis on the control area to inform on wider studio policy and decision making.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with Clients, Administrative Staff, Budget Holder and Credit Holders.

What we'd need to see

  • Experience managing AP/AR processes to Month End deadlines.
  • Ability to hit the ground running, developed from prior experience working in contract positions.
  • Prior management experience with an Accounts Assistant or equivalent position.
  • Previous hands-on experience producing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Experience in processing international payments from banking systems.
  • Experience improving systems and implementing/streamlining new processes.

What we'd like to see

  • Experience and close knowledge of working with SAGE software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work towards deadlines.
  • ACCA/CIMA qualified.

Day rate: £250-£300 p/d

Location: Central London

Start Date: ASAP
