Junior Management Accountant | E-Commerce SaaS Scale-up | Hertfordshire
Harmonic are excited to be working with an industry leading E-Commerce SaaS business based in Hertfordshire. As leaders in their space, they provide a Tech platform to support some of the best known online retailers in the market. They have grown 100% in the last 12 months and have plans to continue on this rapid growth trajectory.

Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly Management Accounts with support from the Financial Controller
- Prepare and manage Accruals & Prepayments schedules
- Oversee the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate recording and depreciation
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliation
- Accruals and prepayments
- Ownership of P&L and balance sheet
- Intercompany recharges
- Prepare reconciliations for annual audit
- Help with cost benefit and budget analysis
- Assist during preparation of forecasts/ budgets
- Assist with quarterly VAT filings
- Participate in preparation of annual/ year-end financial accounts & audits
- Assist with preparation of Financial KPIs for monthly/ quarterly Board meetings
- Support company staff with any payment/ billing related queries
- Support Financial Controller with other ad hoc tasks
Requirements
- Must have minimum 1-2 years of work experience as a Finance Assistant/ Assistant Accountant
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures. Knowledge of VAT filings, Accruals & Prepayments would be beneficial
- Excellent numerical skills with advanced knowledge of MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions).
- Organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail,
- Ability to work under pressure and additional hours when needed
What we would like to see (bonus):
- Ideal candidate will be a graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Prior experience in supporting or managing the preparation of management accounts
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 + Study support
