Interim M&A Executive | Global Media Business | London (Hybrid)
Harmonic are proud to be working on an exclusive basis with a world-renowned Media & Entertainment business. They are now looking for a talented M&A Executive to join their dynamic Corporate Development & M&A department on a 6 month contract.
This role is perfect for someone looking to lead the full cycle of M&A for an ambitious Media business, and wanting to leave the corporate finance world/80 hour weeks behind in favour of a non-corporate, fun and sociable working culture. Our client is open to either FTC or Day Rate contract candidates.
The Company
The business is a major global figure in the TV & Film industry; they are responsible for producing and distributing some of the most popular shows seen across the world. With lofty ambitions to triple turnover over the next few years, the expansion both in the UK and internationally will be dependent on the vital work performed in this role. The business is based in modern offices in Central London and operate a hybrid working policy of 2 days in the office, 3 days at home.
Duties
- Support the execution of M&A and strategic investment activity, contributing across evaluation, due diligence, and deal execution.
- Take ownership of defined transaction workstreams and manage smaller deals with a high degree of autonomy.
- Build and review financial models, valuations, and investment cases to support decision-making.
- Assess a range of inorganic growth opportunities, including acquisitions, partnerships, and minority investments.
- Prepare clear, high-quality investment papers and board materials for senior leadership.
- Track performance of completed transactions against strategic and financial objectives.
- Maintain market and competitor intelligence to support ongoing opportunity assessment.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders and external advisers, representing the business professionally.
What We Need to See (Essential):
- Experience gained in investment banking, corporate development, transaction services, or a similar M&A-focused environment.
- Strong technical skills across financial modelling, valuation, and investment analysis.
- Advanced Excel capability and the ability to produce high-quality presentation materials.
Day Rate: £400-500 per day OR
Salary: £70,000-£80,000
Start Date: ASAP
Length of Contract: 6 Months
Location: Central London, Hybrid (3 days in office)
