Interim Financial Controller | FinTech Start-Up | Outside IR35 | 6-Month Contract | London (Hybrid)

Harmonic are delighted to be working with a Fast-growth, VC Backed, FinTech Start-Up who are looking for an immediately available Interim Financial Controller, on a 6-month contract that falls Outside IR35. The role is Hybrid, 3 days a week in the office and 2 days working from home.

The Client

Their technology is unique in the FinTech space, and the company has identified a gap in the mobile and online banking market they intend to fill. Off the back of this they have recently raised $10M in Series-A funding and are planning to use this funding to expand their operation in the UK, before further expansion into Europe. Based walking distance from London Bridge, they are at the beating heart of the UKs FinTech capital.

Working closely with the executive leadership, this role comes with a lot of autonomy and responsibility. Our clients currently have a small but ambitious finance team of 3 people, with the expectation of doubling within the next 12-Months. The Interim Financial Controller will also work closely with the experienced CFO to assist in financial strategy and budgeting.

The Role

The role involves investor relations with the VC backers, advising on finance models and implementing finance controls. The Start-Up is at a vital stage in its development which opens a fantastic opportunity for an Interim Financial Controller to further their career by being part of one of the UK's fastest growing Start-Ups

• Improve and implement robust financial controls that can facilitate scaling-up
• Responsibility to produce monthly management accounts
• Management of the monthly close and group consolidation process
• Production of investor reporting
• Driving operational and procedural efficiencies
• Continuous process improvement and system implementation which supports the business as it grows

Essential Skills

• ACA, CIMA, or ACCA Qualified
• Both commercially astute and technically strong
• Excellent Communicator
• Ambitious and passionate about being part of one of the UK's fastest growing Start-Ups

Bonus Experience

• Past experience working within Start-Ups, Scale-Ups, or SME's
• Experience within the FinTech or SaaS industries
• Previous experience in an FCA Regulated Company

Day Rate £450-£550
