Interim Finance Director | Rapidly Scaling FinTech company | London | 12-Month Contract
Harmonic are pleased to announce we have partnered with a revolutionary FinTech Scale-Up to find them a highly experienced Interim Finance Director on a 12- month contract. They are a multi award winning Scale-up who are led by a successful entrepreneur who already has a number of high profile exits within the VC backed Tech world.
The Client
Our clients have so far secured over £100 million fundraising and a preparing for a further round of fundraising this winter. Backed by one of Europe's leading VC funds, they have 150 employees based in 3 international locations. After their most recent multi-million-pound successful fundraising effort, they are investing heavily in furthering their international scaling operation.
The client has recently upgraded to a larger office space located in Shoreditch; an area renowned for being a Start-Up hub. They breed a fast-paced and hard-working yet fun office environment which creates a collaborative culture. They are passionate about their employees having a work-life balance, hence offering a flexible, hybrid working model (2/3 days in the office).
The Role
This is an opportunity to join the business as the first Finance Director, managing a talented Financial Controller and a team of finance professionals beneath that. The main roles for this position is to lead the company through a further fundraising round early next year and to oversee the implementation of robust financial controls in what is an FCA regulated Tech scale-up.
- Drive commercial performance across the business
- Provide strategic direction to the CEO and Leadership teams
- Implement new processes around KPI analytics, forecasting and planning (FP&A)
- Face off to Venture Capital Investors
- Lead the business through major future fundraises
- Business Partner with multiple teams across the business holding them accountable and providing decision support
- Ad Projects and potential M&A work
- Manage a Financial Controller to ensure robust controls and processes to ensure there is a platform for growth
- Support and build out Finance team
Essential Experience
- Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA
- Experience of working within at least one Series A-C scale-up or start-up (Ideally FinTech or SaaS)
- Enthusiasm for commercial financial analysis and an ability to develop KPI dashboards
- Strong Communication skills, including the ability and confidence to present to strong prospective investors
Bonus Experience
- Experience in FCA regulated company
- Experience in owning investor relations and fundraising
- Taken on wider Operational roles as often occurs within Start-Ups
- Experience within a FinTech or SaaS company
Location: Shoreditch, London
Day Rate: £900-£1300/day (Inside IR35)
