Interim Controller (Contract) | Financial Services / Fintech Business | Remote

Harmonic Finance is proud to collaborate with a rapidly growing Financial Services business with a FinTech element following their acquisition by a major Listed organization. Sitting in a sector of the economy with massive potential in the coming years they have recently hit $150m in revenue. The Role As the Controller, you will take charge of all accounting functions, drive financial reporting excellence, and guide complex transactions in a dynamic environment. Your expertise will be instrumental in the financial integration into the parent company. You will be working alongside the CFO and reporting to the Regional Corporate Controller of the parent company. The Controller will be responsible to train, develop, and lead a team of 12+ finance professionals. Additionally, the controller will need to establish an effective financial control framework and ensure world-class financial reporting and accounting processes (SOX) are implemented in a Listed business environment while assessing and implementing new systems.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate accounting functions including monthly close, corporate accounting, treasury, AP, AR, inventory, and payroll
• Oversight of day-to-day Accounting teams looking at ways to improve processes
• Deliver the completion of the annual statutory accounts and delivery of the audit process
• Oversee the due diligence and seamless integration of acquired entities into the company's financial ecosystem
• Identify value-adding insights to support the production of long-term strategic planning
• Implement robust controls and processes to ensure accounts are Sarbanes-Oxley compliant (SOX)
• Ensure compliance with external financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP
• Oversight of the company's Balance Sheet
• Partner with the leadership team to work on ad-hoc projects with the CFO
• Continuously review and implement process improvements to drive automation across finance

What We Need:

• Previous experience in an Accounting Role in a Listed business/ Public Company
• Experience reporting in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley and US GAAP
• Leadership and the ability to manage a team

What We'd Love to See:

• CPA qualification
• Experience navigating through periods of M&A
• Experience with consolidations in HFM

Pay: Hourly Rate ($85-150 per hour) OR Day Rate ($650-1200) depending on experience and location
