Interim CFO | PE-Backed Innovative SaaS Scale-Up | Temp-to-Perm

Harmonic are delighted to have been engaged by a PE-Backed Online Marketplace Scale-Up to find them an Immediate Start Interim CFO, with the preference being to take on this person Permanently thereafter. Our client recorded turnover exceeding £30m as of last year and this is projected to grow in the coming year to over £40m. Working closely with their passionate CEO, this role will require a high level of communication and business partnering skills.

The Client

Our client is a highly profitable Online Marketplace which has a significant SaaS component to it. Having grown to over 150 employees, they are looking to pursue continued R&D into new products whilst remaining profitable in the process. They are the market leader in their sector and their innovation centres around keeping up with the current needs of the public. Based out of their London Bridge HQ, our client are offering a Hybrid work model, with 2-3 days in the office and the rest WFH.

The Role

Our client has a lean Finance team of 3, and this position will be the oversight of these as they go through their Audit process. The successful candidate must also have an innate ability to partner with not only the CEO, but also other members of the senior leadership team across the company. This role is targeted towards a CFO who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get hands on across all areas of finance.

Duties

• Partner with the CEO and other members of the Senior Leadership Team to deliver insightful financial and commercial updates.
• Ensure successful delivery of the year end audit.
• Manage Financial Controller and the two more junior Finance professionals in the team.
• Manage R&D tax credit claims.
• Oversee reporting to debt provider and external investors.

Essential Experience

• Qualified Accountant (ACA,ACCA,CIMA)
• At least 2 years' experience as a CFO and previously managed a finance team
• Experience with Investor relations
• Previously worked with Banks to manage reporting requirements and meet covenants.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to be hands on with Balance Sheet, FP&A, and team leadership.

Bonus Experience

• Experience as a CFO in a PE Backed Start-Up/Scale-Up

Day Rate: £700-£1000/day (Inside IR35)

Location London Bridge (Hybrid)
