Immediate Start | Financial Accountant | International Consumer Goods | Leeds

Harmonic are delighted to be working with a fast-growth international products business in their search for a Financial Accountant to join their team on a contract basis - starting immediately.

Reporting directly into an experienced Finance Director, you will have fantastic opportunities to grow and learn with a business who are rapidly expanding as well as managing a team. In this role, you will be fully responsible for the technical accounting (Tax / Vat / Statutory accounts), management accounts, prepayments and accruals, budgets and forecasts as well as playing a key role with the commercial finance. This role would suit a driven individual who is keen to gain insight into a new industry and who likes working in a dynamic environment.

The business culture is creative and inclusive, and this role offers a brilliant opportunity to work in a company turning over c. 70 million and growing year-on-year (YOY growth). The working model is based on a hybrid approach (sometimes known as flexible working) so you can pair 2-3 days working from home (WFH) with the rest spent in their modern offices in the center of Leeds. Their offices are easily accessible by car or train (5 mins walk from major train station)

Responsibilities:

· Supporting the annual Audit

· Undertaking the Consolidation (supported by the FD)

·Owning the company Balance Sheets

·supporting the creation of the UK company P&L

·International Company financial accounts & P&L

· Liasing with Commercial Finance to provide input upon their annual budgets etc

· Intrastat accounts

· Developing the financial Reporting Pack for review at Board level

· Ownership of muti entity accounting / multicurrency

· Analysing P&L and balance sheet

· Review the accounts payable and receivable functions

· Managing payroll and VAT returns

· Managing and mentoring a more junior member of the finance team

· Assisting the FD with any ad hoc duties

Requirements:

· ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified

· Experience within a finance manager role

· Excellent communication and organisational skills

· Experience in a product based business - ecommerce, retail, fashion, beauty, cosmetics, food / beverage or consumer goods (electronics etc)

Salary: up to £350 per day
