Head of Finance | High Growth PE-Backed SaaS Scale-Up | Hertfordshire

Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with a PE Backed SaaS scale-up based in Hertfordshire on their search for a Head of Finance. The business is an award winning E-learning platform regarded as a market leader for its continued success in the space. Through organic growth and targeted acquisitions, the business has tripled in revenue and headcount over the course of 2 years.

For the right candidate this is an opportunity to join an extremely ambitious business which is expecting to double in size over the next 3 years, expanding internationally and continuing it's acquisition trail.

The company culture is high performance but friendly. Everyone is working towards a common goal and there are no huge egos in the room. You'll be based in their brand-new office with a hybrid working.

The Role

Reporting directly to CFO, you will be leading the finance function, and providing financial insights to contribute to key business decisions and business planning.

Responsibilities

• Business partnering with the SLT and cross-functionally, supporting with strategic decision making for the business.
• Lead a team of 6 in finance, overseeing all financial reporting, controls, and systems.
• Work closely with the CFO to steer the business towards an exit and navigate the upcoming investment cycle.
• Efficiently integrate future acquisitions and ensure smooth transitions and integration of financial processes and systems.
• Drive weekly revenue forecasts and own short/long-term forecasting, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and cash flow.
• Manage GP and margin for profitability, develop MI with regular KPIs, oversee monthly opex reporting,
• Oversee monthly management accounts, automate financial close processes and manage day-to-day finance functions while fostering key external relationships.
• Supervise annual financial statement preparation, offer technical accounting expertise and lead interactions with auditors
• Lead continuous improvement of systems and finance procedures (including Netsuite)

What we'd need to see

• Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Proven experience in a high growth business, preferably Private Equity-backed
• Strong technical accounting and financial control experience
• Desire and ability to take on new functions and challenge existing process
• Experience leading and manage teams effectively

What we'd like to see

• Past experience in a SaaS/Technology environment
• Experience working on large scale transformation projects

Salary: £85,000 - £100,000

Location: Hertfordshire

Hybrid: 3-4 days in the office
