Group Financial Controller | SME Digital Media Agency | Central London

Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with one of the UK's fastest growing Digital Media Agencies supporting them with their search for a Group Financial Controller to join their team in London. Turning over around £25mill with a headcount of around 75, the agency has a strong focus on quality outdoor advertisement that spans to around 150 locations across the UK. They are very much a values led agency, and care passionately about the work they do to make a difference both commercially and culturally.

The Role:

Reporting to an experienced Group CFO, the role has been created to strengthen the finance function, where you will focus on all aspects of accounting, treasury and line managing junior finance team members. You will support the finance function in moving to the next phase of its development which will include leading the implementation of a new ERP system on behalf of the finance team. The Group Financial Controller will serve as the primary contact for all financial accounting and treasury related issues and be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the group's accounting records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and perform all accounting duties for effective and smooth running of the retail accounts finance department
  • Manage month end reporting - providing high quality management reporting and analysis
  • Financial Accounting & Control
  • Ensure revenue and costs are fully supported and effectively managed
  • Treasury and Working Capital - optimising the cash position by ensuring a tight control on the Working Capital environment
  • Manage cash flow to ensure cash surplus to meet all financial & cost commitments.
  • Line managing the Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable functions

What We Need to See (Essential Skills):

  • ACA / ACCA qualified accountant from Practice
  • 2 years' experience working as a Group FC / Group FM in industry
  • Experience of establishing internal controls and processes through process automation
  • Strong Excel knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Good all-rounder, proactive, team player

What We Would Like to See (Bonus Skills):

  • Xero experience
  • Media experience

Start Date: ASAP (happy to wait for 3 month notice)

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000

Location: Soho, Central London / Remote
