Fractional Chief Operating Officer | Fast Growth SaaS Scale-Up | Remote

The Client

Harmonic are delighted to have partnered with a fast growth SaaS group which is looking to scale quickly and make further acquisitions in the Tech/SaaS space. The business is run by a successful Tech Start-Up founder who is now looking to take his capital and expertise to acquire and grow Tech Start-Ups and requires the support of an experienced COO to support in a strategic and hands-on capacity.

The CEO has a keen passion for SaaS and the wider Tech Start-Up landscape and is looking for someone who shares that passion and is prepared to support in a longer-term capacity. This role will be remote based and start out as a few days per week commitment, but this is likely to increase as the company scales and potentially converting into a permanent role. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small but punchy team.

The Role

Our client is in the process of making a number of high-profile acquisitions and with this comes the requirement for an operationally & strategically savvy COO who comfortable working in a hands-on capacity. Working closely with the Founder/CEO and the CFO to driver operational success within the acquired entities. This role will also be responsible for strategy translation, business performance, and cross-departmental alignment.

Responsibilities

• Driving operational efficiencies with the implementation of new processes and systems.
• Partner with the CEO, future Investors and Leadership team to shape the long-term strategic goals and subsequently manage and implement projects to achieve these goals.
• Scaling teams, predominantly across Customer, People and Sales Operations.
• Drive improved analysis of key commercial metrics.
• Drive improved reporting and analysis of internal KPI's.
• Supporting fundraising efforts.
• Extensive ad-hoc projects.

Essential Experience

• Experience on the buy side of M&A.
• Previous Start-Up/Scale-Up experience, driving operational efficiencies.
• Experience developing scalable, organisational processes.
• Exceptional communication and networking ability.
• Passion for Tech/SaaS

Bonus Experience

• MBA Qualified
• Experience scaling an organisation with £1m-£10m revenue.
• Experience within a Tech/SaaS Start-Up or holdings company.

Day Rate: £800-£1100/day (Outside IR35)

Location: Remote (London)
