Fractional CFO | Early-Stage Tech Holdings Company | 1-day per week
The Client
Harmonic are delighted to have partnered with a Holdings business which is looking to burst onto the scene making some high-profile acquisitions in Tech & SaaS space. The business is run by a successful Tech Start-Up founder who is now looking to take his capital and expertise to acquire and grow Tech Start-Ups and requires the support of an experienced CFO to support in a strategic and hands-on capacity.
The CEO has a keen passion for SaaS and the wider Tech Start-Up landscape and is looking for someone who shares that passion and is prepared to support in a longer term capacity. This role will be remote based and start out as a few days per month commitment but this is likely to increase as the company scales.
The role
Our client already has a number of acquisition opportunities which will crystalise in the next 3-6 weeks which increases the urgency of bringing someone in who has a background in M&A and due diligence who can assess the viability of these opportunities. Moving forward the role with act as a right hand to the CEO, offering insights into the financial health of the acquired Tech businesses and formulating strategies to reduce costs and increase profitability. The role will also be weighted towards sourcing debt related financing for these Technology companies as well as building out long term Financial Models.
Responsibilities
- Perform due diligence of future acquisitions.
- Adapt and create financial models for acquired companies.
- Produce Board packs.
- Take the lead on debt financing.
- Offer Strategic and operational insights to the CEO.
- Review Financial structures and advise on ways to reduce costs and increase profitability.
- Develop insightful KPI's.
- Support the CEO on Ad-hoc projects.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO.
Essential Experience
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
- Previous experience with M&A activity.
- Experience within a SaaS Business and a deep understanding of the key metrics.
- Previous experience as a number one in finance.
- Previous experience leading on fundraising.
- A willingness to roll up their sleeves and get hands on within acquired Tech businesses.
Bonus Experience
- Experience leading within an international business.
- Understanding of international tax regulations.
- Experience with Private Equity or Venture Capital.
Day Rate: £800 - 1100/day (Outside IR35)
Location: Remote (London)
