Fractional CFO | Seed Stage SaaS / Mobile App | L.A.
Harmonic are p proud to be working with an exciting SaaS startup in the Boston Area that are looking for a strategic and hands-on Fractional CFO to support them on a part-time basis.
Founded by an excellent CEO that has recently exited his last business to a very well-renowned PE firm, this start-up is looking to disrupt the growing app-based well-being industry. They've been steadily building a best-in-class Exec team and are now looking to bring in an strategic CFO to help them through the next phase of growth.
This role will suit a leader that enjoys wearing many hats, being quite hands-on and getting involved with business. The Senior leadership team are passionate about high-growth tech and a deep understanding of the SaaS business model is a must.
This person will also help them to build key reporting metrics, an early stage GTM strategy and bring accounting in house when the business is ready to.
Duties
- Work closely with the CEO to develop short and long term strategy
- Build relationships with, and partner with the wider leadership team to bring improved financial rigor to decision making processes and projects
- Build and improve on financial models to support expansion and future funding rounds
- Ownership of the presentation of Board Packs and Investor Information
- Regular liaison with the VC network
- Develop the foundations for FP&A and accounting processes
- Advise on the structure and help to build, train and mentor operation, finance and supporting teams
- Creating budgets for the marketing, sales and product teams
- Extensive ad-hoc projects
What you need
- Experience leading the Financial Strategy in a scaling Tech business
- SaaS experience
- Passionate about start-ups
- Excellent communicator
- Previous experience of fundraising
- Expert in financial analysis, financial modelling and rolling out financial metrics
- Strategic thinker with excellent communication skills
