FP&A Manager | VC Backed Online Marketplace | London / Remote

We are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with an incredibly high growth online marketplace with offices in London, the US, Europe and Asia. With prominent VC funds backing them, the company has achieved staggering growth of 7x YoY! Having recently undergone this significant period of growth they are now looking for an experienced FP&A Manager to build out and own FP&A.

This start-up has ambitions to become the go to marketplace in its sector and has already raised over $6m in a series A round to give them a strong platform for growth. The company has a young, fun culture and supports travel to its international offices particularly across Europe!

Now they are looking to hire a top tier Commercial Finance / FP&A Manager to help give insights from a finance perspective, continue to build the finance function, and support their continued expansion. The company offers a fast-paced environment, full of motivated and passionate people - if you are an over-achieving, entrepreneurial Financial Controller this is for you.

The role

Reporting to the CFO the FP&A Manager will be responsible for supporting the CFO with commercial finance and owning the FP&A function. You will be working closely with the CFO and investors on numerous high-level projects whilst remaining in the detail of the business managing the hands-on FP&A function.

Responsibilities

  • Own the FP&A function (long-term, business plan, annual operational plan & budget, forecast)
  • Commercial Management - supporting the CEO and leadership team with decision making, contracts and optimising the commercial offering to drive revenue, profitability and cash flow.
  • Assist the CFO with reporting and improving the reporting process
  • Market intelligence - keep an eye on the latest industry developments and the competition
  • As a Finance team member, be a champion of Internal Controls (policies & procedures, best
  • practices)
  • Treasury & working capital management across 4 group legal entities in the UK, Spain, the
  • US and India
  • Ad hoc support on equity and debt funding rounds
  • Reporting (financial statement preparation, KPIs, variance analysis, the narrative around why
  • results are what they are and call to action where appropriate)
  • Business Partner to the Finance and Leadership teams
  • Sensitivity analysis, modelling headcount

What need to see (essential)

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified Accountant preferred.
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong decision making ability and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of thriving in a fast-paced, scaling business.

Passionate about building and retaining teams with a strong mentoring capacity.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to challenge decisions when necessary.

What we would like to see (bonus)

  • Experience working in SaaS or Online Marketplace sectors.
  • Private Equity or Venture Capital portfolio company experience a benefit.
  • Tech start-up experience beneficial.
  • Spanish language skills beneficial but no essential.

Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 + 20% bonus + equity
