This role would suit a confident and driven individual, with strong financial modelling skills who can work autonomously in a fast-paced environment but also who places a strong importance on joining a values-driven organisation.

The company are keen to add someone to the company who is fun, hardworking and wants to progress their career quickly. Culturally the business is filled with incredibly talented, ambitious people but has maintained a strong 'start-up' feel where collaboration is encouraged.

The role:

The FP&A Manager will work closely with the Head of Finance and Finance Director on bringing better quality FP&A into the business.

You will need to implement and improve forecasting and budgeting across the business and partner with senior stakeholders to drive data-led decision making - this will initially involve a lot of hands-on work to set up the FP&A function from scratch.

Given the rapid growth and pace of change, this role needs someone with an eye for process improvement and real willingness to get stuck into the detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the production of the Forecasting, Planning and Analysis cycle (FP&A).

    • Performing actuals forecast analysis and presenting this to the leadership team.
    • Business Partner with key functions within the business working with them to prepare cost budgets and running analysis of actuals versus budget.
    • Be responsible for carrying out commercial reviews of key contracts and carry out negotiations with partners and suppliers.
    • Produce consolidated FP&A across multiple projects.
    • Work closely with Project teams bringing improved accountability and budgeting.
    • Budget allocations and reconciliation of accounts.
    • Conduct ad-hoc performance and cost assessments as requested from the business.

What we need to see (Essential):

  • Excellent FP&A and Financial Analysis skills.

    • Experience working in a senior commercial finance role.
    • Strong leadership skills and ability to both mould and build a high performing FP&A team.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to be impactful at a senior level.
    • Incredibly ambitious with a desire to continue to learn.
    • Strong financial modelling skills.

What we would like to see (Bonus):

    • Experience in a fast growth scale up or start-up
    • Experience in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience in a Tech business or Tech start-up.

    Location: New York

    Salary: $140,000 - $170,000 + Bonus
