FP&A Analyst | High Growth Renewable Energy Scale-Up | Oxford
The company
Harmonic is partnering with a rapidly scaling Renewable Energy scale-up pioneering the development of renewable energy assets across the UK. Backed by one of the most impressive clean energy investors in the UK, the business has ambitious plans over the next few years and a high-performance finance team will be at the heart of this.
They are now looking for a commercially focused FP&A Analyst to support the CFO with their next phase of growth, professionalise the finance function and execute strategic projects including future fundraising and M&A.
They are based in a luxury office space in Oxford city centre, a short walk from the train station. The team is a diverse, high-performance bunch all dedicated to the company mission to decarbonise the energy generation and drive for net zero.
The role
Reporting directly to the CFO the role will offer a significant opportunity for progression with exposure to the board, investors and senior stakeholders from day one. This is a broad role covering financial reporting, commercial finance and operational finance. The business is growing quickly so you will need to be someone that thrives in a fast-paced environment and excited by the prospect of change and new challenges.
Responsibilities
- Financial reporting - working with the financial accounting team to review the month and year-end management accounts.
- Management reporting - variance analysis and commentary.
- FP&A - preparation of budgets, reforecasts and cashflow forecasting.
- Commercial Analysis including scenario modelling on projects, project analysis and working with Energy Analyst on ad-hoc analysis.
- Managing capex, devex and opex commitments.
- Supporting on upcoming debt and equity raises as well as managing ongoing funding pipeline.
- Business partnering with senior stakeholders to present business performance reviews etc.
- Commercial projects including supporting proposal documentations, project tracking and reporting.
- Ad-hoc support to the financial accounting team where necessary.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 1-2 years PQE.
- Demonstrated ability to be analytical and commercially curious.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to operate autonomously when needed.
- Clear and concise communicator.
Bonus experience
- Experience in the energy or renewable energy sector beneficial but not essential.
Package
- Salary:£60-70,000 + options
