FP&A Manager | FinTech Start-Up | Boston

Harmonic are excited to be working on an exclusive basis with a rapidly growing VC-backed FinTech start-up that are looking for an FP&A Manager to help scale their team.

This disruptive FinTech is re-writing the rules of the mortgage industry for the better, bringing revolutionary transparency and helping to level the playing field for many consumers and enabling consumers to make the best financial decisions for their own specific situations.

The ground-breaking FinTech has experienced rapid growth in 2021 with many Americans re-evaluating their budgets and lifestyles. To date the disruptor has raised close to $75 million in VC funding and have ambitious plans to expand all over The States. They have already aided individuals and families across the country in navigating their home buying and refinancing their journeys, so the work you would do would not just benefit yourself and the company but also millions of everyday Americans.

Working out of a vibrant Boston office, the leadership team is diverse and are looking for a proactive and commercially astute individual with a strong modelling skillset.

The Role

The Manager of FP&A will take charge of forecasting and will work directly with the Director of FP&A and CFO to drive insights and support senior decision making.

You will help to build-out complex financial models of various metrics and KPIs and be involved in high level conversations to help identify areas of opportunity and shape the future of the business.

Duties

  • Create financial models to help forecast and expand the business
  • Partner with the Director of FP&A and CFO to assess external and internal areas of opportunity.
  • In depth analysis of company performance, including identifying key KPI's and metrics
  • Trend and customer insight analysis to support key strategy decisions
  • Work with the data team to build dashboards and visualization tools
  • Manage financial reports and P&L
  • Streamline the month-end process
  • Improve and implement robust financial controls
  • Build a team as the business scales
  • Be an individual contributor as well as an excellent team leader

What you need

  • Ambitious and passionate about being part of a start-up
  • Excellent modelling skillset
  • Commercially astute
  • Strong technical skills
  • Excellent Communicator
  • 2+ years' experience in investment banking/private equity
  • 2+ years' experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of FinTech metrics

What we'd like to see

  • Experience in tech or logistics industry
  • Experience working for a VC- backed business

Salary: $140,000 + Bonuses + Share options (dependent on experience)

Start Date: ASAP (Would see people with 3 months' notice period)
