Harmonic Finance are delighted to be working exclusively with one of the UK's fastest growing tech start-ups. They have developed proprietary AI technology, which they use as part of a systematic vetting process to create the best possible getaway experience for customers in over 30 countries. This is revolutionising how consumers and users book their vacations.

Following a hugely successful Series B funding round, in which they secured more than $35m from a host of the world's leading VC funds, they sit alongside some of the globe's most reputable tech start-up successes in impressive portfolios and they look to follow suit. With total funding now well over $70m, and offices across their London HQ, New York and Hong Kong, they're entering their next phase of growth, branching out into more countries and launching more products.

Expecting headcount to double over the coming 18 months, they've just moved into a beautiful new office space in Shoreditch, London which they operate from on a hybrid basis with working from home. The Role

Reporting directly to a brilliant CFO, with a track record of supporting Tech start-ups, the Financial Controller will demonstrate effective financial control and ensure world class financial reporting and accounting processes are implemented, while still supporting with commercial finance moving forwards and managing a Management Accountant and Finance Assistant.

Within a finance function that's still in its early stages, this role is perfect for somebody who wants to get 'stuck in' across finance, with exposure to many different aspects of finance, from budgeting and forecasting, to management accounts, financial accounting and various projects as they continue to scale.

• Responsible for maintaining robust financial controls and reporting processes (under IFRS)
• Responsible for the delivery of timely, accurate month-end and the production of monthly Management Accounts
• Support with the completion of the annual statutory accounts and leading on the UK audit

process

• Effective management of their Management Accountant and Finance Assistant to ensure accurate work and continuously aid their development
• Identify value-adding insights to support with the production of long-term strategic planning
• Work closely with the business to support with the annual budget and forecasting moving forwards
• Support the CFO with Investor and Board reporting and future fundraising projects
• Continuously review and implement process improvements to drive automation across finance
• Extensive ad-hoc projects to support the business as they continue to grow

What we need to see (Essential):

• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Extremely smart with excellent communication skills
• Willingness to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in across Finance
• Incredibly ambitious with a desire to continue learning
• Excited by start-ups / scale-ups

What we would like to see (Bonus):

• Experience in a fast growth Tech start-up / scale-up (VC or PE backed)

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000, share options & bonus
