Harmonic are delighted to be working exclusively with a rapidly growing Independent TV & Film production company based in London.
The Business:
They are a multi award-winning production business behind multiple recognisable media projects across digital platforms as well as TV & Film. Revenue has continued to rise year-on-year and they are looking to double turnover in the space of 3 years. The London office is based in a trendy part of London and the company culture is well-known for being dynamic, entrepreneurial and sociable. You'll be joining a growing and friendly team of 40 people, the expectation is there will be a split between home an office working.
The business has recently expanded with a European and US office thus providing valuable international exposure for the successful candidate. It is from this growth that a new position has arisen for a Financial Controller. This is the ideal opportunity for an accountant with experience in the Media, Creative Agency or Entertainment industry, who is looking for progression and greater autonomy.
The Role:
You will be working closely with both the CEO as well as the part-time Finance Director, you will thus get excellent exposure and influence to the setting of the financial and commercial strategy of the business. You will be primarily responsible for managing the finance function, budgeting, financial analysis, and forecasting. This presents a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the continued growth of an exciting, scaling business.
The Duties:
- Management of a bookkeeper.
- Producing monthly management accounts and presenting to Senior Management.
- Supporting on setting the commercial and financial strategy for growth.
- Ensuring the smooth running of the finance function.
- Leading on budgeting & forecasting.
- Implementing new systems and processes.
- Driving efficiencies through the business.
- Ad-hoc duties.
What we need to see (essential):
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified or PQ
- Experience in the creative industries (Entertainment, Media, Marketing/Advertising, TV, Film)
- Strong and confident communication skills.
- Highly ambitious and driven.
What we'd like to see (bonus):
- Experience in TV or Film/Creative Agency
Salary: £55,000 - £70,000
