Financial Controller | Fast Growth B2B SaaS Start-Up | London

The Client

We are delighted to be working exclusively with one of the fastest growing SaaS start-ups in the UK.

The business is growing rapidly having disrupted their market and is seeing vast revenue growth year on year, with an anticipated £10m turnover this year. They have expanded from the UK into the US, Japan and Australia and have quickly grown their headcount to over 70.

They are based in a fantastic office space in the start-up hub of Shoreditch, with access to many vibrant restaurants, cafes and bars and have an impressive leadership team made who are passionate about scaling the business further.

The Role

The Financial Controller will ultimately be responsible for the end-to-end finance function including financial control and supporting with FP&A. Joining a team of 3 you will work closely with the Finance Director on a number of high-level projects including the integration of planned international mergers / acquisitions.

The business is growing rapidly and the successful candidate can expect quick progression depending on their performance and speed of development, to a position where you are owning both financial control and FP&A.

• Responsible for the completion of the month-end close process.
• Producing the monthly management accounts with insightful analysis.
• Manage the Group Consolidation process for four entities across various countries.
• Oversee and manage the year-end statutory reporting and ensure they are compliant with IFRS.
• Support with regulatory reporting, ensuring compliance across international jurisdictions.
• Continuously review and improve processes and systems.
• Extensive Ad-Hoc projects to support the FD as they undergo growth.
• Support the FD with Finance integration processes resulting from planned international joint ventures.
• Provide support with the FP&A including the production of financial modelling and budgeting.
• Manage and aid the growth of the finance team, helping to ensure teamwork across the function.

What we need to see (Essential)

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Strong technical accounting skills.
• Extremely smart with excellent communication skills.
• Incredibly ambitious, motivated and forward thinking with a desire to continue learning.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excited by start-ups and a passion for SaaS.
• Highly adept with Microsoft Excel.
• Willingness to roll your sleeves up and get stuck into the detail.

What we would like to see (Bonus)

• Experience and knowledge of IFRS
• Previous experience in a SaaS, Online Marketplace or subscription-based business (including retail and e-commerce)
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV
• Experience with Group Consolidation process

Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 + bonus
