Financial Controller | Hyper-Growth Crypto Scale-Up | London/Remote

Harmonic are delighted to be working exclusively with one of the world's most exciting cryptocurrency scale-ups.

Already with a global footprint, the company expects to grow headcount significantly from 50 to 100 across their London HQ, Bulgaria and The Isle of Man. The business has 3 arms covering the De-Fi, Ce-Fi and the NFT space so aims to remain nimble with a view being able to pivot quickly to capitalise on market trends.

With an exceptional leadership team, world class Venture Capital investors and some of the brightest and best in the business, they are aiming to achieve impressive scale over the next 12-18 months. This will include further innovative product launches and continued international expansion.

The London HQ is in a brand new, beautiful Central London location but with the flexibility of a hybrid working model. Culturally the team is extremely smart, ambitious and hold themselves to a high standard as they drive the business forward. This is underpinned by having a lot of fun, not taking things too seriously and enjoying the sociable side of being part of one of the world's fastest growing SaaS scale-ups.

The Role

They are now looking for a high calibre Financial Controller to play a pivotal role in helping to forge the finance function as they head into their next phase of growth. Reporting directly to the CFO / COO you will be heavily involved in all aspects of finance including strategy and planning but in the short term there will be an emphasis on implementing robust financial controls and processes as well as impactful reporting to essentially set up the finance function from scratch.

Responsibilities:

• Implementing robust financial controls and processes in-line with the FCA requirements for the crypto space
• Ensure compliance with appropriate revenue recognition standards for the different crypto currencies, markets and exchanges
• Directly responsible for the treasury function (including cashflow reporting)
• Creation, production and delivery of the forecasting, planning and analysis (FP&A)
• Creation, production of Management Information Packs and Board Packs explaining results and identifying trends
• Implementation of the budgeting process
• Track KPIs and key metrics, reporting to internal stakeholders and VC shareholders
• Support the CFO with the production of long-term strategic planning
• Assisting the CFO with fundraising support and investment decisions

Required Experience:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Excellent Financial Control and Financial Analysis skills
• Enjoys and thrives working in a fast-paced environment
• An individual who enjoys being "hands on"
• Excellent Excel / Google Sheets skills

Bonus Experience:

• Experience in a Tech start-up business (preferably fintech)
• Passionate about the Cryptocurrency space - including understanding of different currencies, exchanges, NFTs etc.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 + options + benefits
