Harmonic are delighted to be working with one of the UK's most exciting and values led theatre trusts in the search for their next Finance Manager. This will be the number one in finance, working closely with the directors and heads of departments on a daily basis.
The Business:
Since inception 40 years ago, our client has grown into one of the most established theatres in their field, working closely with the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to produce an array of live events. Operating across multiple sites in both London and Edinburgh, the trust produce performances watched by an audience of over 500,000 across the August festival period.
Alongside this, our client also has a strong commitment towards developing the careers of their actors and actresses, working closely with some the industries leading professionals to aid the development of those just starting out. There is an ethos of support and collaboration underpinning the entire organisation, and as such is a perfect opportunity for outward facing candidates that enjoy working in a team towards a shared common goal.
The Role:
This Finance Manager role will play a vital role in the Trust's operations throughout the year. The position will oversee business planning/forecasting and cash-flow management, and will be hands on covering payroll and invoicing. There will also be an exciting opportunity to take the lead on and have full autonomy over building out the finance team, with the business keen to add a Finance Assistant into the team next year.
Duties:

Manage cash flow for the business

Regular up to date reporting back to board level

Leading on budgeting and forecasting

Take full responsibility for producing the management accounts

Payroll

VAT Returns

Preparing accounts for audit
What we need to see (essential):

ACCA, CIMA, ACA Qualified / PQ / QBE

Strong IT and Excel skills

Outward facing personality
What we need to see (beneficial):
- Creative arts background (Music, TV&Film, Theatre, Performing Arts etc)
- Natural love and interest in theatre / performing arts
Salary: Up to £50,000
