Finance Manager + equity | Private-Equity Backed Biotech Business| Oxford (Hybrid)

Harmonic Finance are delighted to be working on a retained basis with one of the UK's most exciting sustainable technology businesses in their search for a Finance Manager to join the team. The role will support the running of the daily finance function and benefit from incredible mentorship from senior stakeholders for those looking to get exposure to fundraising and the more commercial elements of finance.

This is a role that will oversee the accurate delivery of financial information including: ownership of month end and management accounts, budgets, forecasts, P&L, balance sheets, VAT and payroll. You will work closely in assisting with the maintenance of financial controls and ways to optimise finance processes.

Responsibilities:

· Full management of the month end process.

· Oversee transactional finance including accounts payable, weekly pay runs, reconciliations and tax submission to HMRC.

· Full production of the monthly Management Accounts.

· Working closely with various Departmental Leads to produce budgets and track spending

· Managing payroll

· Supporting the Finance Director in the design and implementation of financial controls and procedures.

· Suggest improvements for software and company PO processes.

· Maintain key relationships with suppliers and external auditors.

· Liaising with the wider finance function to ensure operational efficiency.

· ACA or CIMA or ACCA qualification (Finalists or exceptional PQ candidates considered)

What we would like to see:

· Previous accounting practice experience

· Experience using Xero

· Experience within food or biotech / life sciences / natural sciences / manufacturing / medical / SAAS / Tech would be advantageous

Salary: £45,000-£50,000 +5% pension + equity

Start date: ASAP
