Finance Manager | International Luxury Goods Scaleup | London

We are proud to be working with one of the UK's fastest-growing International Luxury Goods Scaleup businesses to help them find a strong Finance Manager to join their team which is a newly created position in response to their growth.

Coming into 2022 having closed out a fundraising round through Venture Capital (VC) investment worth c.70 million our client are now one of the fastest growing D2C businesses in Europe who have funds available to secure further growth and development plans which have now spanned to the international market. To date they have also closed out 2 mergers with smaller brands as part of their strategic growth plans.

As well as having great commercial success our client are well know for their working culture, which is not only fast-paced but also very creative and inclusive. I have no reservation in saying that this is one of the most exciting, scaling business in London currently hiring and one of the most exciting role Harmonic are brining to market in Q2.

The role will work closely with the Head of Financial Reporting and will have oversee a management accountant and transactional finance person who will be on-hand to support with the monthly reporting, audit and reconciliations.

The working pattern is flexible and they would like candidates to come into the office 2 times a week.

The role

-Support on the completion of the management accounts for the UK & EU entities for the business.

-Lead on the group consolidations reporting in to the Finance Control & Reporting manager

-Management of the Audit process from end to end for the business

-Lead on the reporting on the group balance sheet and cash flow

-Review and audit stock / complete full stock reconciliations

-Support on the production of the statutory reports across the different legal entities and be the main point of contact for the external auditors

-Support the improvements in financial process across the team and identify areas for speed up the month end cycle

-Review and approve monthly payment runs

-Ensure Tax and general ledger compliance for the UK entity

-Lead a team of two with one direct report (qualified ACA accountant)

-Ah-hoq tasks and projects

What we need to see (essential):

CIMA/ACCA/ACA part qualified or qualified

Strong financial reporting/ technical experience - ideally experience in Audit

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience working within a fast-paced environment / startup / SME

What we would like to see (bonus)

Experience working within a fast growth start-up/ scale-up

Experience in streamlining month end processes

Experience using NetSuite would be advantageous

Start date: ASAP

Salary: £60,000 - 70,000 + benefits

Location: London + flexible working
