Finance Manager | Distinguished Luxury Fashion Brand | London (hybrid)

Harmonic are delighted to be exclusively working with a globally recognised luxury fashion brand in their search for a Finance Manager to join their growing team.

Our client is an international stalwart in the luxury fashion space, known for contemporary designs and partnerships with celebrities and influencers. With turnover at circa £750m, they have set their sights on reaching the £1bn mark by 2026, and their working culture of collaboration and inclusivity lends well to everyone at the business playing a part in achieving their ambitious goals.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will be tasked with taking ownership of month end, analysing P&Ls, specifically on the expenses side, and comparing budgets and forecasts with actual figures by taking the lead on variance analysis, while further commercial exposure comes in the form business partnering with departmental leads. This role would suit an ambitious individual who ultimately desires to progress to Financial Controller level and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Conducting variance and cost analysis
  • Interpreting balance sheets, income statements, liabilities and cash flow
  • Examining P&Ls and expenses
  • Reviewing journal entries and account/intercompany reconciliation
  • Monitoring the fixed asset register
  • Preparing budgets, forecasts and reports
  • Partnering with various Heads of departments
  • Overseeing a team of two in accounts payable
  • Supporting the Financial Controller with implementing financial controls, and other ad-hoc duties

Essential criteria

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA part qualified
  • 5+ years experience within luxury retail
  • Exposure to large accounts, preferably in large, global luxury businesses
  • Ability to independently run the month-end close process
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Genuine interest in luxury fashion

Desirable criteria

  • Familiar with finance in a luxury fashion environment
  • ACA/ACCA or CIMA finalist

Location: Central London (3 days in the office, 2 from home)

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + bonus + study support

Start date: ASAP
