Finance Manager | Integrated Marketing & Communications Agency | London (Hybrid)

Harmonic are proud to be partnering with a fast-growing, international marketing and communications agency to recruit a Finance Manager for their expanding finance function.

This agency specialises in strategic communications, digital marketing, and brand storytelling, partnering with an impressive portfolio of technology, corporate, and consumer clients. With offices across Europe, North America and APAC, the business has scaled rapidly and now generates revenues of c.£40m, employing over 250 people globally.

This is a high-impact role offering ownership across core finance processes, strong exposure to senior leadership, and the opportunity to shape financial operations in a dynamic, creative environment.

The Role

Reporting into the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the finance function, ensuring robust financial control while supporting commercial decision-making across the business.

You will partner closely with senior stakeholders across client services and operations, providing insight and guidance to drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Control & Reporting

  • Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare monthly management accounts with clear analysis and actionable commentary
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, including full balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support the year-end audit process and statutory reporting requirements

Commercial Finance & Business Partnering

  • Partner with client-facing teams to support project performance and profitability
  • Provide insight into revenue, margins, and cost control to support decision-making
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes across the business
  • Challenge and influence stakeholders to drive commercial outcomes

Revenue & Project Accounting

  • Oversee revenue recognition and ensure accurate treatment in line with accounting standards
  • Review WIP, deferred income, and project reconciliations
  • Support the billing process and ensure alignment between finance and operations

Cashflow & Working Capital

  • Monitor cashflow performance and support working capital management initiatives
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes, ensuring efficiency and control
  • Provide visibility on cash position and forecast future cash requirements

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting capabilities
  • Support ongoing system enhancements and finance transformation initiatives
  • Drive best practice across finance operations

Team & Stakeholder Management

  • Support and mentor junior members of the finance team
  • Act as a key point of contact for finance across the business
  • Collaborate with international teams to ensure consistency in processes and reporting

What We're Looking For

  • Fully or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Proven experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant role
  • Experience within a marketing, communications, or professional services environment is highly desirable
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with finance systems/ERPs
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset

Salary: £45-55K
