Harmonic are delighted to be working with a renowned Arts organisation who operate a state-of-the-art modern venue and gallery in London. Due to the business growing at a rapid pace, they are now looking for their first full-time Finance Manager.

The Business

The company is multi-faceted and is involved in Art exhibitions, operating co-working spaces and have a strong hospitality element. Headcount of the business sits at around 30 and they are continuing to grow, the dynamic team is united by a common passion for the arts and has a warm 'family-feel' to the work environment.

This is a great time to be joining the business as they are scaling and exploring new avenues such as international expansion. Turnover currently sits around £4m and they are on course to double that next year. It is through this growth that they have decided to hire their first ever full-time Finance Manager who will work closely with a talented part-time CFO.

The Role:

As the Finance Manager you will be taking full responsibility for the accounting of the company. There will be a part-time CFO available to support with any queries and provide excellent mentorship. It is a broad position which covers month-end reporting, producing insightful management accounts and working closely with the senior leadership team to support with the business strategy.

There is a clear course of progression through the business to Financial Controller and as the company grows they will hope to one day build out the Finance function underneath the successful candidate. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking for a role with significant autonomy, influence and progression in an exciting business.

Duties:

  • Producing monthly management accounts with insightful commentary.
  • Supporting the senior leadership team with the commercial strategy.
  • Overseeing cashflow management, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Invoice processing and cash collection (low volume).
  • Board reporting responsibilities.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the finance function.
  • Ad-hoc duties and projects

What we need to see (essential):

  • Finance background (there is not a requirement to be qualified).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

What we'd like to see (bonus):

  • Prior experience in the Arts, Venue or Hospitality sectors.

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (potential flexibility for outstanding candidates)
