Finance Manager | High Growth Healthcare Scale-Up | London
We are excited to be working with an incredibly exciting healthcare start-up that has recently raised over £100m through a private equity house which they are now deploying at speed into new projects to kickstart their expansion.
The company has recruited some of the brightest and best leaders from other leading start-up and scale-up businesses and now that they are gearing up to scale, they are looking for a newly qualified ACA candidate to join their growing finance team.
The company is based in stunning offices in west London which are also home to their private equity backers. They are looking to build a really strong culture with support and ambition at it's core and with the help of this new hire, will aim to scale the team by 3 times by the end of the year.
The role
Reporting to the Finance Director, the finance manager will be responsible for all things finance ranging from financial reporting, treasury and financial control to business partnering and ad-hoc analysis / reporting.
Duties
- Preparation / design of monthly management accounts / board pack
- Preparation of statutory financial statements and liaising with auditors
- Profitability analysis / liaising with other departments
- Preparation of budgets / liaising with other departments to agree expenditure
- Set-up and running of purchase order / expenditure authorisation process
- Preparation of cash flow forecasts
- Monitoring of expenditure versus budgets
- Pay-runs at bank / set-up & processing of payments
- Maintaining accounting records - some bookkeeping / some monitoring of automated systems
- Management of sales & purchase ledgers
- Maintenance of fixed asset register, posting accruals, prepayments & other journals
- Ad-hoc information requests
What we need to see (essential)
- Newly qualified Chartered Accountant - ACA
- Qualified in audit department of large / medium sized practice
- Strong and confident communicator
- Prefers to work in a small team / happy to share knowledge
- Highly skilled with Excel
What we would like to see (bonus)
- Experience auditing smaller start-ups and working in small teams
Salary
- £50,000 + 15-20% bonus
